Βιογραφικό:

Ο Κωνσταντίνος Καλαϊτζάκης είναι Καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Ηλεκτρονικών Μηχανικών και Μηχανικών Υπολογιστών του Πολυτεχνείου Κρήτης. Πήρε το δίπλωμα του Ηλεκτρολόγου-Μηχανολόγου Μηχανικού από Εθνικό Μετσόβιο Πολυτεχνείο το 1977 και το διδακτορικό του δίπλωμα από το Τμήμα Ηλεκτρολόγων Μηχανικών του Δημοκρίτειου Πανεπιστήμιου Θράκης το 1983. Από το 1984 υπηρετεί στο Πολυτεχενείο Κρήτης.


Ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντα:

  • Αισθητήρες και διατάξεις μετρήσεων βασισμένες σε νέες τεχνικές (fuzzy, neural, genetic, data fusion)
  • Συστήματα Ανανεώσιμων Πηγών Ενέργειας (διασύνδεση με το δίκτυο, αυτόνομα συστήματα)
  • Ηλεκτρονικά ισχύος (μεταλλάκτες και μετατροπείς, μεγιστοποίηση της παραγόμενης ισχύος από ανεμογεννήτριες και φωτοβολταϊκά)
  • Ηλεκτρονικές διατάξεις ελέγχου βασισμένες σε ασαφή λογική (fuzzy logic), νευρωνικά δίκτυα (neural networks) και γενετικούς αλγορίθμους (genetic algorithms) για βιομηχανικές εφαρμογές
  • Συστήματα εξοικονόμησης ενέργειας σε κτίρια (BMS)
  • Συστήματα εμβιομηχανικής (bioengineering) και βιοϊατρικής (biomedical)
  • Συστήματα αφαλάτωσης νερού με χρήση ανανεώσιμων πηγών ενέργειας
  • Εφαρμογές ηλεκτρονικών διατάξεων στη γεωργία για εξοικονόμηση υδατικών πόρων, βελτιστοποίηση της παραγωγής, κλπ.
